To educate is to guide children to be adults, as the purpose of educating. There are three aspects involved, namely, children, the process of educating and educational purposes.

There is a difference between education and teaching. Education addressed to the whole personality of the individual, namely that children grow into adults. Maturity has a normative and psychological traits. A person is considered an adult, if he has been able to determine the purpose of his life and could be responsible for himself. It contains the normative, ethics or morality.

Educational objectives provide direction for the process of educating. What is an adult? Understanding adult can not be separated from meaning and purpose in life. The purpose of life can be inferred from the question: "What should I do?"

Often referred to adult is physically and socially mature. Someone said to mature physically, if he has been able to produce offspring. Period a person is physically mature is the "puberty". Someone said to mature socially, if he had been able to live independently, no longer socially economically dependent on their parents.

There are also adult psychological (mental) and adult pedagogical or normative. Someone said to mature psychologically, if he has been able to develop all the potential of his soul (mind, emotion, volition) in a harmonious and balanced, so he was able to face all the problems of life. Psychologically mature person develops his mind, objective, critical, logical, systematic, dams emotionally stable life.

While the definition of adult in pedagogical or normative, is that if a person has lived with regard to the value of morality, meaning able to be responsible towards themselves, society and God. The mature ones are normative able to live by his conscience and having clear guidelines for living.

Education process going on since the child was a baby until she grew up. There are three educational environment, namely family, school, and community. Education is the conscious effort of human plans aimed at improving human behavior in all aspects of his personality, which covers aspects of knowledge (cognitive), emotional (affective), willingness (co-native), and skills (psycho - motor).

The child has his own free will, as an individual right that can not be bothered - contested. We can not force the child to do or not do something, without his consent. Forcing means eliminating the rights of children, so that education can lead to conflict.

Education takes place in educational situations, which involve group dynamics, between educators and students. Often in the educational process, the unconscious psychic conflict of the educator, influence the educational process, and is transmitted to the students. It is important to realize, because it can prevent the opposite effect (counter product) of the work done. Anxiety, worry, aggression, fear and so easily transmitted.

Therefore, our goal of educating and guiding children, so he would become adults who can live good and true. Good and true understanding is the keeping alive the values ​​and norms prevailing in society. That is, he always tries to do good and right, so that their work in an environment, both families, communities and nations, can become a useful human being.

This is the basic difference between education and teaching : Teaching is one aspect of education, namely the aspect of knowledge (cognitive). Teaching provides the skills and knowledge, while education to guide the child toward a good life and true.

We already know the word exercise. when teaching about aspects of knowledge (intellectual terms) human, in terms of training regarding psycho - motor development, physical movement, such as writing exercises, speed reading, driving, also make decisions, communicate and so on. Basic training is repeated, the more repeat the exercise, the more skilled person.
